Emirates Villages

Emirates Council for Rural Development  (ECRD), established in 2022, is responsible for the development of villages and rural regions. ECRD fosters economic opportunities and promotes social and cultural cohesion within these communities by leveraging the collaborative efforts of both the government and private sectors. ECRD’s first program is "Emirates Villages" that aims at enhancing the quality of life in UAE’s different regions, providing tailored opportunities for Emirati women to better highlight the heritage creative industries of the villages and the Emirati women's skills within it.
